1645: "The quarter-finals look interesting, and I must admit I'm reluctant to look beyond them, because anything can happen... But here are my predictions: Venus to beat Schiavone in three, Cibulkova to upset C-Woz in three, Vera to beat Kanepi in two, Kim vs Stosur - too close to call"

Times tennis correspondent Neil Harman on Twitter: "Told that Mitchell Frank is very strong mentally, like hitting against a wall. Intriguing test for Oli."

1635: So that's what you've got to look forward to, and this is what's happening right now: Youzhny and Robredo are all square in the opening set on Louis Armstrong, while Laura Robson v Chanelle van Nguyen is going with serve too. But Oliver Golding has been broken by Mitchell Frank and the American is about to serve for the first set.

1630: Wrapping things up on Louis Armstrong later is the all-Spanish meeting between Fernando Verdasco and David Ferrer, while the evening session on Ashe sees Kim Clijsters battle it out with Sam Stosur and Rafael Nadal take on Feliciano Lopez. Another all-Spanish affair, I might add.

1620: Following those opening salvos, Andy Murray's conqueror Stanislas Wawrinka plays Sam Querrey on Arthur Ashe Stadium at about 1800 BST, and then comes the women's quarter-final between Venus Williams and Francesca Schiavone. Another Brit, George Morgan, faces Slovakia's Filip Horansky second on Court 4 in the junior boys' singles and he's also in doubles action later on.

1618: Thanks for the reminder, Oli. Yes, there's another Brit in action today and it's Oliver Golding. The youth Olympics doubles champion plays another America, 16th seed Mitchell Frank.

Oliver Golding on Twitter: "First up @11 on court 11!!! Can't wait!!!"

1615: Who's playing, where and when? Our focus starts on Louis Armstrong Stadium - Mikhail Youzhny takes on Tommy Robredo in the men's fourth round - and also Grandstand, as Britain's Laura Robson faces Chanelle van Nguyen of the United States in round two of the junior girls' singles.

Twitter
Caroline Wozniacki on Twitter: "Good morning guys! Eating oatmeal and getting ready for a hit! Then after a nice massage, and meet my friends for lunch :)"

1600: Now then, I know this was 'supposed' to be the day Andy Murray did battle with Sam Querrey in the US Open fourth round... but I'm afraid the Scot's a goner, his Grand Slam dream extinguished for another year. Don't blame me, I'm just the messenger! Anyway, fear not my friends - we still have a fairly mouth-watering schedule to get our teeth into. So sit back, relax and enjoy all the thrills and spills sure to dished up at Flushing Meadows over the next 11 or so hours. You won't be disappointed. I promise...
