World number one Nicky Hunt fired the final arrow to clinch gold
England archers Nicky Hunt, Danielle Brown and Nichola Simpson won gold in the women's team compound event, beating Canada 232-229 in the final.
They were one point behind after two of the four ends but world number one Hunt's 10-point final arrow clinched victory at the Yamuna Sports Complex.
The trio are the first English archers to win gold medals at a Commonwealth Games for 28 years.
Brown also won a Paralympics gold in Beijing two years ago.
England had earlier beaten Malaysia 226-221 in their semi-final.
