MY SPORT: DEBATE

1246: A fright for Celtic. A swirling corner from Francisco Miranda comes crashing back off the top of the crossbar.
1244: St Mirren keeper Mark Howard makes a brave block to keep out a close range strike from Andreas Hinkel as the Celtic full-back latches on to a clever chipped pass from Georgios Samaras.
1241: Craig Dargo flashes a dangerous ball across the Celtic goalmouth but St Mirren strike partner Dennis Wyness can't get a touch.
1238: A great burst down the left flank from Mark Wilson sets up a shooting chance for Scott McDonald but the striker's effort is deflected narrowly wide.
1237: Nothing much going on as both teams knock the ball around. Gary Caldwell's shot was charged down on the edge of the St Mirren penalty box.
1234: A nice early stat to get things underway. St Mirren have the best home defensive record in the SPL. The Buddies have only shipped three goals on their own patch. Surprised by that nugget? I was.
1230: And we're off.
1229: Artur Boruc has to rush off and change his jersey since it clashed with the St Mirren strip. The Celtic goalie is back in a very smart grey number.
1227: "Well it's almost been cold enough to snow here in Melbourne too! Rangers 3 - 0 for me and Man U to just get past Villa away." manutd_83 on My Sport.
Glad you could join us all the way from Oz. Not long to wait for kick off now.
1225: "Aberdeen always do well against the Old Firm, Rangers in particular. I reckon they can get a draw at Ibrox. Can't see past Celtic at Love Street. They could be further clear at the top come tonight!" chibchenko over on My Sport. Join the debate
Given the Dons haven't won at Ibrox for 17 years, maybe a draw is the best they can expect.
1220: "Barry Robson and Paul Hartley are not near being fit, but one of them had to play today. Robbo is the fitter and will play, while Paul is doing us a favour by being on the bench." Celtic manager Gordon Strachan talks to BBC Radio Scotland.
1218: TEAM NEWS:
St Mirren: Howard, Ross, Haining, Potter, Miranda, Murray, Dorman, Brady, McGinn, Wyness, Dargo. Subs: Smith, Mehmet, Hamilton, McAusland, McCay, Burns, Carson.
Celtic: Boruc, Hinkel, Loovens, McManus, Wilson, Nakamura, Scott Brown, Caldwell, Robson, McDonald, Samaras. Subs: Mark Brown, Maloney, Hartley, Naylor, Sheridan, O'Dea, Caddis
It looks like Scotland defender Gary Caldwell will be pushed into a midfield role for the visitors.
1212: DavidAttenborough gets back with an apology and a 2-1 to Killie prediction on My Sport. Join the debate goat87 says "another famous 1 nil buddies victory courtesy of Billy Mehmet".
1210: "We've got to try to start in the same positive manner that we finished the game at Ibrox. We only have four fit midfield players and those are the ones that are selected today." St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson talks to BBC Radio Scotland.
1205: "St Mirren v Celtic 1-3, Rangers v Aberdeen 3-1, Dundee United v Hamilton Accies 4-0, Motherwell v Hibernian 2-1, Hearts v Falkirk 2-0" DavidAttenborough takes time off exploring the animal kingdom to throw down the prediction gauntlet on My Sport. Join the debate
What about Killie v ICT?
1200: There were a few forlorn flakes of snow in Glasgow this morning. It's hardly orange ball weather but it's pretty cold out there. I'd think about an extra pair of socks if you're venturing out to a match today.
1155: "Celtic to win 5-1 today. Probably a Samaras hat-trick on his return." FoxForever gets in with an early prediction on My Sport. Join the debate
1150: Early team news. Goalkeeper Artur Boruc returns for Celtic after his knee surgery and striker Georgios Samaras starts for the first time since early October.
Paul Hartley is not included after picking up an ankle knock on Scotland duty but Barry Robson is fit enough to take his place in midfield.
Stephen McGinn, who scored the winner against Rangers at Love Street earlier this season, is given a rare start for the Buddies.
1145: Welcome to another busy day in the Scottish Premier League.
Leaders Celtic visit St Mirren in the 1230 kick off. These early games can often be a bit flat but Gordon Strachan's side showed no signs of grogginess when they crashed in four first half goals at Fir Park earlier this season.
Later on, Aberdeen go to Ibrox looking for their first success on Rangers' turf for 17 years.
Dundee United host bottom club Hamilton Accies, while Motherwell entertain Hibernian.
Hearts are on a roll of three 1-0 wins. Can they make it a fourth at Tynecastle against a Falkirk side that are on a six-game unbeaten run?
Finally, Kilmarnock are at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle; a match that will be broadcast 'as live' on BBC ALBA from 1930. You'll have to brush up on your Gaelic, mind.
Of course, you can listen to BBC Radio Scotland's coverage of all the games on the wireless and online.
I want to hear what you think of the action as it unfolds, so feel free to send in your thoughts via: My Sport and text on 80295.
