Scotland head coach Frank Hadden has made four changes in personnel for the final autumn Test against Canada.

Chris Paterson, Thom Evans and Jason White are injured, while Allister Hogg drops out of the match-day squad.

Rory Lamont switches from wing to full-back and Simon Webster, Nikki Walker, Alasdair Strokosch and Simon Taylor are all given starting places.

Winger Max Evans, elder brother of Thom, is given a place on the bench as he bids to win his first cap.

"There is an element of freshening up the squad and it's also an opportunity to look at certain blends ahead of the Six Nations but, as ever, the selection is about winning the game," said Hadden.

Victory would give Scotland a chance to retain their place in the world's top eight, if Argentina also beat Ireland.

Should the Scots lose their top eight ranking, they would drop a seeding place in next month's draw for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
