Glover held off a charging Phil Mickelson to win the US Open in June
|
US Open champion Lucas Glover will take a two-shot lead into the final day of the 36-hole PGA Grand Slam of Golf.
The American, who won his first major in June, shot a six-under 65 in the strokeplay event in Bermuda featuring the year's four major winners.
Compatriot and Open champion Stewart Cink fired a 67, with Masters winner Angel Cabrera of Argentina five shots off the lead following a round of 70.
South Korea's USPGA champion YE Yang trails in fourth place after a 71.
The 29-year-old Glover was in particularly fine form, bagging one eagle, six birdies and two bogeys in damp conditions at the 6,824-yard Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, just four months after his US Open victory at Bethpage Black in New York.

Cink's 67 contained five birdies and one bogey and the American was delighted to be taking part following his emotional play-off victory over Tom Watson at Turnberry in July for his maiden major title.
"It's a great honour to be here," he said. "Obviously, I want to play well and winning would be nice, but this is also about having a good time.
"It's both a championship and a celebration of the four of us and the accomplishments of the year, and enjoying this beautiful setting."
Cabrera beat Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell in a play-off to add the Masters to US Open title he won in 2007.
Yang was another first-time major winner this year when he came from behind to beat Tiger Woods to the USPGA crown at Hazeltine.
The South Korean was the first Asian-born male to win a major, and he ended Woods's 100% record of winning all 14 of his major titles when leading going into the final round.
The Grand Slam of golf was held in Hawaii from 1991 to 2006 before moving to Bermuda in 2007.
