Northampton Saints recall open-side flanker Neil Best while Courtney Lawes is amongst the replacements.
Prop Euan Murray is also on the bench, returning from injury sustained on the Lions tour this summer.
Tom Williams is poised to make his much-anticipated Harlequins comeback after serving a four-month ban for his role in the 'Bloodgate' scandal.
Quins have been allowed to delay naming their team until 1030 GMT on Saturday because of "selection concerns".
Northampton director of rugby Jim Mallinder:
"You want to keep winning but you have to be mindful that it is a long season and you do have to look after players. We're in good shape for these league games coming up.
"I think we're anticipating a tough game. They've won their last two away games, gained a little momentum and they've got some good players.
"It's disappointing for Courtney (Lawes) that he only got 10 or 15 minutes of international rugby but always a boost to have him and Ben Foden back."
Northampton: Foden; Ashton, Clarke, Downey, Reihana; Myler, Dickson; Tonga'uiha, Sharman, Bonorino, Day, Kruger, Dowson (capt), Best, Wilson.
Replacements: J Gray, Dreyer, Murray, Lawes, S Gray, Dickens, Everitt, Ansbro.
