Leicester have confirmed fly-half Toby Flood will be out for six months after surgery on his ruptured left Achilles.
Flood suffered the injury in the Tigers' Heineken Cup semi-final win over Cardiff on and will now miss the final and England's tour of Argentina.
"It is very disappointing news for Toby at the end of his first season with the club," said coach Richard Cockerill.
"We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back into the squad," he added.

Flood finished the Six Nations campaign as England's first-choice fly-half, and having missed out on a place on the Lions tour to South Africa, would have been very likely to have been involved in England's summer plans.
"I'm very disappointed for Toby," said England coach Martin Johnson.
"He was playing well and I wish him a speedy recovery."
Leicester will now need to find someone to fill in for him for the rest of the season, as they are in both the Heineken Cup final and the Premiership play-offs, with Johne Murphy and Sam Vesty possible candidates.
Flood's unavailability for England could be an opportunity for Danny Cipriani or Andy Goode to stake their claim for the number 10 shirt.
