All-rounder Shane Watson enhanced his claims for a place in Thursday's third Test as Australia warmed up with a 135-run tour match win over Northants.
Watson blasted 11 fours in a 35-ball 50 to allow them to declare on 270-3.
Northants needed an unlikely 353 and after an opening stand of 99 Watson struck, ousting Niall O'Brien for 58.
Stuart Clark, also seeking a Test recall, claimed 2-29 but under-fire Mitchell Johnson only took the final wicket to end with 1-65 off 11.1 overs.
