Alexander scored for Burnley from the spot in the first half

Graham Alexander's penalty earned Burnley a thoroughly deserved draw from a very entertaining draw with Arsenal.

Burnley began enthusiastically before Cesc Fabregas silenced the home fans, picking his way though the defence to put a low shot in the bottom corner.

Arsenal gained the upper hand before Alexander levelled after Thomas Vermaelen brought down Andre Bikey.

In the second half Chris Eagles hit the post and Steven Fletcher had a goal ruled out as honours ended even.
