Lord Sebastian Coe has been elected a vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations. The former double-Olympic 1500m champion was voted into office at a meeting of the IAAF Congress in Osaka on Wednesday.
Sergey Bubka of Ukraine, American Robert Hersh and Dahlan Al-Hamad from Qatar were also voted into office to serve a four-year term.
Lamine Diack was voted into a final four-year term as IAAF president.
The World Championships begin in Osaka on Saturday.
