Four gold medals are up for grabs on day six of the World Championships in Osaka, Japan. Great Britain enjoyed a brilliant one-two in the women's 400m on Wednesday but are unlikely to be among the podium places on Thursday. Pick of the day will be the men's 200m final at 1420 BST, where 100m champion Tyson Gray goes for the sprint double. The other finals are the women's 400m hurdles, the men's long jump and the women's hammer. LATEST ACTION (ALL TIMES BST): To get involved, text us on 81111 (UK users only) or contribute to 606
1157: Britain's Steve Lewis doesn't last long in the pole vault. The British number one fails all three attempts at his opening height of 5.40m, well below his personal best of 5.61m. 1152: The men's 800m heats are in full swing with Morocco's Amine Laalou and Canadian Gary Reed winning the first two heats. Britain's Michael Rimmer and Irish runner David Campbell both go in the fourth heat. 1142: The men's pole vault is under way while the men's 800m heats are beginning. The first three in each heat go through, plus the six fastest losers. 1139: News has come through that the French men's 400m relay team won't be able to defend their world title because two of their quartet are injured. It's good news for British hopes although the French weren't expected to win again. 1135: The stadium is half-empty as the action begins in the women's hammer. Eileen O'Keefe represents Ireland. We've already had the medal ceremony for the men's high jump, in which Donald Thomas chewed his way through the Bahamas national anthem. Wednesday was a day of excitement for the British team in Osaka but Thursday promises to be a bit calmer, not least because there is no daytime session. Among the early interest of the evening session (which starts at 1130 BST) is Ireland's Eileen O'Keefe throwing in the hammer and Britain's Steven Lewis in the pole vault qualifying. Later on, GB sprinter Tasha Danvers-Smith starts in lane one in the final of the women's 400m hurdles. Britain's Mo Farah runs in the 5000m heats while compatriot Michael Rimmer lines up for the 800m heats.
