NUSA DUA, Indonesia -- Lindsay Davenport continued her comeback at the Bali Classic on Friday, reaching the semifinals with an impressive 6-4. 2-6. 6-2 win over top seed and world No. 3 Jelena Jankovic.
While the Serb had travelled from the U.S. Open following a gruelling American hardcourt season, Davenport has barely played for a year and freshness won over lack of match play on this occasion.
The emotional Jankovic became involved in a number of disputes with Sri Lankan umpire Asitha Attygala, especially late in the third set, and she refused to shake hands with the official at the end.
