Alou's streak is a franchise record and the longest in the major leagues since Willy Taveras also hit safely in 30 straight games for the Houston Astros from July 27 to Aug. 27 last season.
Alou's drive followed a two-run shot by Carlos Beltran, the fourth time the Mets have hit consecutive homers this year.
After getting four hits Tuesday, including a three-run double, Alou began the night batting .400 (46-for-115) during the streak.
