Georgios Samaras netted a last-minute winner on his first appearance of the season to give Manchester City victory over Norwich in the Carling Cup.

The �6m striker raced onto a Kelvin Etuhu through ball to seal a place in the last 16.

The Premier League side made nine changes for the game and it showed as they produced a drab performance against the Championship strugglers.

City have still yet to conceded a goal at home this season.
