Utah's Boozer could miss camp to be with ill son

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah Jazz say star forward Carlos Boozer could miss training camp next week while his son recovers from a bone-marrow transplant in Miami.

Camp starts Tuesday and runs through Saturday in Boise, Idaho.

Boozer says he'll join his teammates as soon as his son is home from the hospital and stable.

Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor says Boozer worked out all summer and will be ready to play. He says Boozer needs to be with his family.

Boozer averaged 23 points and 12 rebounds during the playoffs.
