Woods teams with Howell in Presidents Cup match

MONTREAL -- Tiger Woods will team with Charles Howell III to face K.J. Choi and Nick O'Hern of the International Team in the final first-day match at the Presidents Cup.

The Woods-Howell vs. Choi-O'Hern match tees off at 2:05 p.m. ET at Royan Montreal Golf Club on Thursday, the last of six matches that day.

The first match features Americans Steve Stricker and Hunter Mahan against Australians Geoff Ogilvy and Adam Scott at 1:15 p.m. ET.

Phil Mickelson and Woody Austin of the U.S. meet International team veterans Vijay Singh and Canadian Mike Weir at 1:25 p.m. ET, followed by Stewart Cink and Zach Johnson of the U.S. vs. Trevor Immelman and Rory Sabbatini of the International team.

At 1:45 p.m. ET, Jim Furyk and David Toms of the U.S. meet Ernie Els and Angel Cabrera, followed by Scott Verplank and Lucas Glover vs. Stuart Appleby and Retief Goosen.
