David Beckham's LA Galaxy will play in a new tournament featuring US, Japanese and Australian clubs in the new year. The first Pan-Pacific Championship will take place in Hawaii, with semi-finals on 20 February, and the final and consolation match on 23 February.
The Galaxy will be joined in Honolulu by MLS champions Houston Dynamo, Gamba Osaka of Japan's J-League, and next February's Australian League winners.
Los Angeles will face Gamba Osaka in their opener at Aloha Stadium.
MLS commissioner Don Garber said: "The event will provide the participating teams with high level competition, while enhancing each league's exposure throughout the world."
