Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc is set to have an operation on his knee after the club's Champions League destiny is decided on Tuesday. The Pole, who suffered the injury to his knee on international duty last month, will play in Celtic's final group game against AC Milan.
But manager Gordon Strachan said that doctors will examine the goalkeeper's knee as soon as he returns from Italy.
"We'll look at Artur straight after the game," he said.
"It might be he'll come through the test with flying colours. But, if he hasn't got any better, he'll go straight into hospital for corrective surgery."
Celtic must avoid defeat on Tuesday to ensure their qualification from Group D.
