New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his knee that could sideline him the rest of the season, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Bush has a tear in his posterior cruciate ligament, a source close to the running back said. A Saints source confirmed the diagnosis but said Bush and the team were getting a second opinion from noted orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews to determine if surgery is necessary. Bush missed practice Thursday. He is listed as questionable for the Saints' Monday night game against the Atlanta Falcons, but Bush told a source he did not expect to play. The rest of his season was also in doubt, the source said. Chris Mortensen covers the NFL for ESPN.com.Source: ESPN.com
