England have brought Leicester lock Ben Kay into the England squad ahead of Saturday's match with New Zealand.

The 32-year-old World Cup winner has been promoted from the England Saxons squad as cover for Tom Palmer.

Centre Riki Flutey (hamstring), prop Andrew Sheridan (neck) and Palmer (calf) are all receiving treatment from the England medical team.

England coach Martin Johnson will name his team to face the All Blacks at 1200 GMT on Tuesday.

Kay, who has 60 England caps, was a second row team-mate of Johnson in England's 2003 World Cup winning team and also played in the 2007 final.

Palmer limped out after 34 minutes of the record 42-6 defeat by South Africa at Twickenham last Saturday and was replaced by Wasps team-mate Simon Shaw.

England defeated the Pacific Islanders in their first Autumn international but lost to Australia the following week before the crushing reverse against the Springboks.
