By Colin Moffat

1244: Steven Whittaker, a former Hibs favourite, is getting some stick from the home fans after a dangerous lunge at Marius Zaliukas.

1242: "Rangers have not started at all; Hearts are well on top." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Craig Paterson.

1239: "Rangers fans have decided to pepper the pitch with red, white and blue streamers. The stewards are clearing them as we speak. And there's a kilted rhino there, too." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Chick Young.

I think that must be a cuddly toy rhino as mascot sort of thing, rather than two men in a pantomime rhino suit, surely...

1238: "You can see Christian Nade is going to be a real handful for the Rangers defence today." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Craig Paterson.

1236: Rangers defender David Weir balloons an attempted clearance high into the Edinburgh sky and a crazy scramble ensues but the home side can't capitalise.

1234: "Has Boyd still never scored a goal Tynecastle?" asks EdinburghsNo1 on My Sport Join the debate on My Sport

Well, he hasn't scored in the colours of Rangers but he did manage one during his days at Kilmarnock.

1232: Andrew Driver tests Allan McGregor with a low strike but the Rangers keeper gathers easily.

1230: And we're off...

1227: The teams run out at Tynecastle. It's a cold, crisp day in Edinburgh, without a breath of wind. BBC Radio Scotland commentator David Begg is wearing two hats; a skip cap to help combat the low sun and a woolly bunnet to keep him warm.

1223: "Hearts may think that the players' wages problem is not an issue, but I'm sure others would disagree." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Chick Young.

1220: "On that team sheet with Lafferty & Adams I am not confident one bit..." BahrainBEAR is a worried Rangers fan over on My Sport. Join the debate on My Sport

Let's hear from all the Jambos out there. Your team are flying right now. Four wins in a row is not to be sniffed at.

1212: Hearts' lone striker Christian Nade has nabbed just one goal this season and Rangers keeper Allan McGregor has kept five clean-sheets in his last seven outings. It doesn't point to a goal-fest in Edinburgh does it?

1207: "I think Hearts shall be affected by their wage problems. But how will this affect them? Will it spur them on or will they lose confidence??" Fox Forever on My Sport. Join the debate on My Sport

1200: TEAM NEWS:

Hearts : MacDonald, Neilson, Zaliukas, Berra, Wallace, Kingston, Karapidis, Palazuelos, Driver, Aguiar, Nade. Subs: Kello, Makela, Obua, Cesnauskis, Mole, Thomson, Jonsson

Rangers : McGregor, Broadfoot, Bougherra, Weir, Whittaker, Lafferty, Ferguson, Mendes, Adam, Darcheville, Boyd. Subs: Alexander, Edu, Novo, McCulloch, Burke, Aaron, Loy.

Chris Burke makes his first appearance this term on the Rangers bench. The winger has recovered from an ankle injury sustained in last season's Scottish Cup semi-final.

1155: For the second time this season, Hearts players have not been paid on time. The club insist the wages will be available on Monday.

1152: "You never know what your going to get with Rangers these days. IF Mendes and Bazza are in the mood and Boyd has his right boots on we should win but if not it could be another long day." DCooper 7 is first up over on My Sport. Join the debate on My Sport

1150: Early team news from Tynecastle: Madjid Bougherra returns to the heart of the Rangers defence at the expense of Lee McCulloch.

Hearts welcome back midfielder Laryea Kingston from injury and goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald makes just his second start of the season.

1145: Welcome to another busy day in the Scottish Premier League.

It's second versus third in the early kick off at Tynecastle, as Rangers visit in-form Hearts, with the home side looking to make it five victories in a row.

Later on, leaders Celtic entertain Inverness aiming to stretch their winning league run to 12 games.

Dundee United go to St Mirren Park, while Motherwell are the visitors at Pittodrie for what is Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood's 200th match in charge.

Falkirk host Hibernian in a match that will be broadcast 'as live' on BBC ALBA from 1930. You'll have to brush up on your Gaelic, mind.

Finally, bottom side Hamilton are at home to Kilmarnock. The Accies are smarting from the loss of late goals in recent weeks; will their luck change today?

Of course, you can listen to BBC Radio Scotland's coverage of all the games on the wireless and online.

I want to hear what you think of the action as it unfolds, so feel free to send in your thoughts via: My Sport and text on 80295.
