Burnley face holders Spurs in cup

Burnley will get the chance to take another Premier League scalp in the Carling Cup after being drawn against holders Tottenham in the semi-finals.

The Championship club have beaten Fulham, Chelsea and Arsenal, and will hope to claim another scalp at Turf Moor in the second leg.

In the other semi-final, fellow Championship side Derby face Premier League champions Manchester United.

The matches will be played in the weeks beginning 5 and 19 January 2009.

Derby knocked out Premier League side Stoke in the quarter-finals while United beat Blackburn 5-3.

The final takes place at Wembley on Sunday, 1 March.
