Leicester scrum-half Harry Ellis has been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle on Perpignan's Dan Carter during Sunday's Heineken Cup clash.
New Zealand star Carter made his debut for the French side in the 26-20 win but landed on his head from a height of six feet after one challenge.
Match commissioner Iain Goodall cited Ellis for "an alleged dangerous tackle on Perpignan player Dan Carter".
Carter said after the game: "I am very relieved to be injury-free."
Ellis was not punished for the tackle during the game but European Rugby Cup, who organise the tournament, said a disciplinary committee would be convened as soon as possible.
He added: "I was very thankful that I wasn't hurt. It was pretty scary up there and I had no control over how I was going to land."
Carter, regarded as the best fly-half in world rugby, is earning a reported £35,000 a game during his sixth-month stay in France.
Meanwhile, Dax lock Mickael Berk has been cited for an alleged punch on London Irish's James Buckland after the English side's 59-7 win on December 11.
