New Zealand were dismissed for 365 in their first innings on day three of the opening Test against the West Indies.
Daniel Flynn led the Black Caps innings with 95, and Jesse Ryder hit 89. Chris Gayle took 3-42 for the Windies, and Daren Powell finished with 3-68.
The tourists were 39 without loss in reply in Dunedin, with Gayle on 29 and Sewnarine Chattergoon on nine.
Play did not start until mid-afternoon on Saturday, and the previous day was washed out because of rain.
