Blackburn's Matt Derbyshire has agreed to join Olympiakos on a six-month loan deal - but the move will only go ahead if Rovers find a replacement.

His club's website confirmed that the 22-year-old striker had flown to Greece to finalise the move.

But Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce said: "He has not quite joined yet.

"He has expressed a wish to go and he would like the opportunity to play for them but, like anybody else, a replacement is critical."

Derbyshire has made 17 appearances for Blackburn in the Premier League this season, scoring twice.

He scored his first goal for Rovers against Wigan on New Year's Day in 2007.
