By Paul Fletcher

1951: Robbie Savage puts what might be termed an early reducer on Lewis McGugan. High and late from the experienced Derby midfielder, who impressed after coming off the bench against Man Utd.

1950: Now I'm not one for predictions, at all, but to satisfy those who seem to want one:

Derby 2-1 Forest.

1948: Not would I would call a prompt start but Rob Hulse and Giles Barnes get us under way.

1945: Derby - led out by a Ram. No more to say about that.

1944: Team news

Derby boss Nigel Clough make four changes from the side that lost 4-2 to Manchester United in the Carling Cup semi-final on Tuesday. Roy Carroll is demoted to the bench, so Stephen Bywater takes his place in goal. Andy Todd has a hamstring strain, so Miles Addison steps in at centre-back. Robbie Savage is promoted from the bench in place of Claude Davies while Kris Commons is nursing a shin injury and drops to the bench, with Giles Barnes playing behind striker Rob Hulse.

Forest make one change from the side that beat Plymouth 2-0 last week, with defender Joel Lynch coming in for Wes Morgan.

1943: "Even as a Liverpool fan this is the game I'm most looking forward to this weekend, I've managed to convince my local pub to put it on the telly, good times Paul, good times."

1936: I have just watched Forest striker - and former Derby player - Robert Earnshaw breaking off from his pre-match warm-up to do a pitch-side interview. You don't often see that.

1935: "In Nottingham city centre and the atmosphere is buzzing. Forest have not conceded this year, 2-0 to the Reds!"

1931: "I'm a Notts County fan who is sat at work in Derby. I'm looking and feeling resplendent in a jaunty black & white tie."

1929: "These sort of games might not have massive name players involved, but they always produce."

1927: With Billy Davies in Glasgow (See 1900), Forest will be managed tonight by David Kelly, who will be assisted by Julian Darby.

1922: "Wonder which Forest player will be the first to kick Kris Commons..."

Now, now. Lets all try to be friends. Peace not war. And anyway, Commons is on the bench. They might have to wait a while to get a chance...

1919: "Thank God it's not Stevo the Red Dog tonight! 2-1 to the mighty Rams."
Rich, stuck at work in Derby via TEXT 81111

1918: TEAMS

Derby: Bywater, Connolly, Addison, Albrechtsen, Stewart, Barazite, Green, Savage, Teale, Hulse, Barnes. Subs: Carroll, Commons, Villa, Varney, Nyatanga, Hanson, Beardsley.

1915: Stevo, for those of you wondering, is watching the match elsewhere. I'll have some team news for you as soon as I get it.

1913: At the risk of blowing my own trumpet, I recently interviewed Billy Davies - a man who really does not appreciate being asked stupid questions.

And in addition to the aforementioned, we also have plenty of decent stuff looking ahead to this weekend's other FA Cup ties.

Ever wondered what happened to all the players who took part in the 1986 FA Cup Final between Liverpool and Everton?
When Dalglish did the Double

Aston Villa take on Doncaster this weekend extraordinarily keen to avoid a repeat of their 3-0 defeat in the Carling Cup in 2005.

James Milner was part of that Villa team and is still trying to work out what went wrong back then.
No Rovers repeat, say Milner

1910: On paper an FA Cup tie between two struggling Championship clubs is nothing to get too excited about.

This fixture is different.

It is rich in history, rivalry and talking points. It has more intriguing angles than a Miss World contest.

Forest boss Billy Davies hardly had time to get his feet under the table at the City Ground before the FA Cup draw pitted him against the club that sacked him months after Derby's promotion to the Premier League.

Davies said that he was very much looking forward to the tie but unfortunately he will not be there for the game (See 1900).

Brian Clough managed both Derby and Forest - and son Nigel - a former Forest player - is now in charge at Pride Park after his recent appointment.

Forest have won twice under Davies, Clough has started with two losses.

Is should be a fascinating tie.

1900 GMT: Now then. And welcome to the live text for the FA Cup fixture between Derby and Nottingham Forest.

Unfortunately I must start with the sad news that Forest boss Billy Davies will not be at the game. Instead he is in Glasgow to be with his son William, who has undergone a major operation.

I'm sure that you will all join me in wishing William a speedy recovery. Some things are more important than football and our thoughts are with the Davies family.
