1246: The Baggies, in their yellow 'n' black away kit, get the game under way.
1244: "So he's missing a game so he doesn't miss a game" is the general reaction to Joleon Lescott's presence on the bench. If the Everton defender were to be booked today, he would miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Middlesbrough next Sunday, so not just any old game.
1242: There's the Z Cars theme at Goodison Park and here come the players. West Brom haven't won at Everton for nearly 30 years...
1236: "Having Yobo playing again is a big worry. He was all over the place against Newcastle. Resting Lescott could come back to haunt Moyes today."

1234: By the by, the best bit of football gossip today is from one of the grown-up newspapers. The Guardian reckon Manchester City are so fed up with Robinho's attitude, they are preparing to give him - plus a bit of cash - to Chelsea in exchange for John Terry. City will double Terry's weekly wage of £135,000 and they believe the England skipper is prepared to listen to their offer.

1229: If you, like poor old Mick (see below), are being dragged to the rugby or some other meaningless event, you can still follow this text commentary and get all the scores on your mobile. Here's how: From a UK phone, just text FOOTBALL to 81010, it will cost you 10 to 15p and you will receive in return a link to our mobile site. Click on that, and you'll be straight through (then bookmark it so you never need to text that number again). The cost of being online on your phone will vary according to network and your own contract.
1226: "Re 1212: I'm getting dragged to watch the rugby today. Tears are flowing already. I don't like it."
Mick via text on 81111
1224: If you are wondering why Joleon Lescott is on the bench for Everton, he is one booking away from a ban. After today though, there is a yellow card amnesty so this is the last day a fifth booking results in a ban.
1221: "Re 1209: Saha was free, is only on 30k per week, did say he was willing to go onto a pay as he plays contract and has already single-handedly won us 6 points this season. Can't say fairer than that."

1218: "I spoke to Rafa Benitez on Tuesday and Wednesday and it did strike me at the time how relaxed he was. One particular statement he made on Wednesday after the game against Madrid was interesting. He said: 'Stability is always the key if you want to be successful.' It would seem that's what he wants assurances about."
BBC 5 Live's John Murray on the Benitez contract saga
1215: Three of the so-called 'big four' in action today, with Chelsea hosting Wigan in Guus Hiddink's first home league game. Here's the Dutchman speaking about his new home yesterday: "I love London very much. It's good to be here. I love self-irony, which is so common in England. You can look at yourselves in the mirror and say 'how stupid I am' - this is good to see."
1212: That last comment has almost brought me to tears. Let us hope that there is a never ever a day so quiet that we are forced to watch the rugger.
1211: "It may be quiet in the Premier League today but there is still Six Nations rugby to watch."

1209: "As much as I love David Moyes, I'm still wondering why he signed Louis Saha. Yes, when fit he's very good, but he never is, never ever. He must be costing us about 50k per week, and it's starting to annoy me a lot."

1207: TEAM NEWS Everton v West Brom
Should Everton just change their name to Injury-Hit Everton? Quite a clunky name admittedly... Anyway, David Moyes makes four changes from their draw at Newcastle last weekend, with Tony Hibbert, Marouane Fellaini, Steven Pienaar and Tim Cahill all back in the side, and Joleon Lescott on the bench. Rock-bottom West Brom bring Ryan Donk in for Leon Barnett and winger Chris Brunt replaces Filipe Teixeira.
1204: TEAMS Everton v West Brom
Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Yobo, Jagielka, Baines, Gosling, Neville, Fellaini, Pienaar, Cahill, Jo. Subs: Nash, Lescott, Van der Meyde, Castillo, Saha, Jacobsen, Osman.
West Brom: Carson, Zuiverloon, Meite, Donk, Robinson, Morrison, Koren, Borja Valero, Brunt, Simpson, Fortune. Subs: Kiely, Hoefkens, Cech, Greening, Moore, Filipe Teixeira, Menseguez.
1200: It's a Saturday in the middle of the season and there are only four Premier League games today. I think it was the great philosopher Sir Graham Taylor who once said: What sort of thing is happening here?
