British number one Andy Murray expects to be able to cope with an ankle injury during his Dubai Championship quarter-final with Richard Gasquet on Thursday.
Murray beat Arnaud Clement 6-2 6-3 in the last 16 on Wednesday, despite his ongoing ankle problem.
"If it's like it was today I should be fine," he told BBC Sport on Wednesday.
Murray and Gasquet are scheduled on court at about 1700 GMT - following the match between top seed Novak Djokovic and Marin Cilic.
The 21-year-old Scot is due to play in the Davis Cup next week, and Great Britain captain John Lloyd will be concerned that his star man is not a certainty to line up against Ukraine.
"I'm going to take the matches day by day," he said. "Some days it's better than others.

Murray saw off Clement with ease on Wednesday as the Frenchman was unable to contain his power and variety.
While there was little evidence of the ankle injury that forced Murray to pull out of the Open 13 in Marseille last week, and affected him in his first-round win over Sergiy Stakhovsky on Monday, he did speak of his discomfort after the match.
"It changes every day, where it hurts, because it was kind of the whole of the ankle joint," said the world number four.
"Some days it's round the front, some days it's at the back, and some days it's at the side.
"I just need to take it each day at a time, make sure I get the right physio treatment, ice it - and tonight it felt better."
Murray's quarter-final against world number 26 Gasquet, who booked his place in the last eight with a 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 7-6 (7-5) victory over Italian Simone Bolelli, is the fourth meeting between the pair.
The 22-year-old Frenchman holds a 2-1 advantage but their last encounter, at Wimbledon in 2008, went the way of Murray in five dramatic sets.
"We have had some very good matches in the past and I am hoping this will be another good one," said Murray.
"The Wimbledon match last year was one of the most exciting of my career."
