Chambers looks in hot form to win gold in the 60m
|
Britain's three sprinters cruised through the 60m heats after impressing at the European Indoor Championships in Turin on Saturday.
Dwain Chambers, whose revelations in his forthcoming autobiography have overshadowed the build-up, was the quickest qualifier in 6.53 seconds.
Team-mate Simeon Williamson clocked 6.61s with Craig Pickering in 6.64s ahead of the semi-finals at 1600 GMT.
Mo Farah goes for gold in the 3,000m and Donna Fraser is in the 400m final.
With controversy continuing to surround Chambers' every movement, the 31-year-old sprinter burst out of the blocks in the third heat to leave everybody in his wake to finish just 0.02s off his own world's quickest indoor time this year.

He will line up alongside Pickering in the semi-final - a British athlete who has been vocal in his criticism of Chambers' inclusion in GB teams.
Greg Rutherford attempts to qualify in the men's long jump, while Marilyn Okoro and Jenny Meadows compete in the 800m semis at 1515 GMT.
It was a mixed start for Britain's athletes at the indoor championships on the opening day on Friday.
Sarah Claxton equalled her own British 60m hurdles record but struggled in the final, while Andy Turner agonisingly missed out on a medal in the men's 60m hurdles final by 0.01s.
There was also disappointment in the men's high jump with Samson Oni and Martyn Bernard failing to make Saturday's final.
