Harlequins recovered from last week's heavy defeat by Huddersfield with a hard-fought win over Hull.
Second-half tries from David Howell and Jason Golden proved crucial in a bruising battle.
After an early Danny Tickle penalty, Tony Clubb responded only for Kirk Yeaman to level it by the break.
In a livelier second half, Golden scored before Craig Hall crossed for Hull, but Howell's try and three Danny Orr kicks sealed the win.
