Jenson Button says his triumphant Brawn GP team will face stiff competition from their rivals when the 2009 F1 campaign comes to Europe.
Brawn GP had a stunning one-two at the Australian Grand Prix and many believe they could dominate most of the season.
But Button said: "The new regulations are new to everyone and I think people will start making big leaps forward.
"When we return to Europe a lot of people are going to have (new) aero packages and they'll be on our tail."
However, the Brawn car's supremacy was so marked in Melbourne on Sunday that many F1 observers believe the team could dominate the season.
Button appeared to be holding back in the race, during which it seemed he never had to use the full potential of the car.
Even if Brawn struggle to match the development rate of some of the better-resourced teams, their advantage is such that they are likely to be at or near the front throughout the campaign.
Button's victory in Melbourne on Sunday, with team-mate Rubens Barrichello in second, capped a fairytale debut for the former Honda team - who as recently as a month ago were unsure of their future in the sport.

And Button, 29, is still revelling in the aftermath of his second victory in his 154-race career - which sees him topping the driver standings following a frustrating few years with an underperforming Honda.
"It's a great feeling," added Button. "The problem is it's difficult to plan these days because you get so excited and you find it difficult getting to sleep.
"But hopefully that will pass. It's a nice problem to have."
Button insists the team will work hard to improve ahead of the second race of the season in Malaysia this weekend.
"We've just got to take every lap as it comes," he added. "So I'm not looking forward to the race (on Sunday), instead I'm looking forward to getting back in the car and building it into something even more special because we're not there yet.
"It's not perfect and we certainly didn't get the best out of it over the weekend.
"So there are a few areas we are weak in, and that was always going to be the case because we barely did any testing.
"For now, we need to get the best out of everything, which we haven't done. But it's nice to have had not quite the perfect weekend, yet come away with a pole and a win."
