Bourgoin beat Worcester on Saturday to reach the final
|
Bourgoin have asked European rugby's governing body to change the venue and date for their European Challenge Cup final against Northampton.
The French outfit are due to face the Saints on 22 May in Gloucester's Kingsholm Stadium.
But Bourgoin are angry that the game comes less than a week after a decisive league match and also feel the location gives Northampton an advantage.
"Our disappointment is clearly immense," the club said in a statement.
Bourgoin qualified for the final by beating Worcester 22-11 in Saturday's semi-final, but they are third from bottom in France's domestic Top 14 league with two rounds of fixtures left.

It is the ninth successive final to take place in England

They play relegation rivals Castres this weekend and then Brive the following Saturday as they look to secure their top-flight status.
Their game with Northampton - with the winners securing qualification for next season's Heineken Cup - comes six days later on 22 May.
Northampton, who beat Saracens 16-13 in their semi-final on Friday, have no more games before the final, with the Guinness Premiership regular season already over.
Bourgoin have sent a letter to the French Rugby Federation, the French league and European Rugby Cup (the organisers of the two European tournaments), asking for a change in date and venue.
"The final will take place less than a week after a decisive (Top 14) match against Brive," the statement added.
"Our supporters are forced to make a long, complex and costly trip on a Friday.
"And Gloucester is situated less than 150 km from Northampton - the fans of our opponents couldn't ask for much more.
"It is also the ninth successive final to take place in England."
