1047: The moment you've all been waiting for, BBC Sport's Chris Bevan with the definitive take on Andy Murray's performance yesterday: "Hi pottiella, I also thought Andy Murray's performance against Potito Starace yesterday was far from 'unconvincing'...true, he will need to play better if he is going to go deep into this tournament but, on his least-favourite surface, he showed he is capable of working out what is going wrong for him and turning it around. That's going to be key to him winning these five-set matches - we can't expect him to destroy players the way that Rafael Nadal does, that's just not realistic." So there you have it....
1045: Jamie Murray and Vizner are still a break down at 4-2, Voskoboeva has avoided doing 'a Keothavong' (sorry Anne) by getting on the scoreboard against Kuznetsova, and Garbin is in danger of upsetting the locals by taking the first set against Bartoli on Chatrier. Caroline Cheese's latest favourite name, Daniel Gimeno-Traver, is on serve against Tommy Robredo. He's no Eduardo Schwank.
1039: Roger Federer will be on Chatrier in today's second match against Jose Acasuso, and John McEnroe has some firm ideas on what the Swiss must do to win a first French Open title. "It would be a good idea for Roger to change his tactics and play more aggressively," said the 1984 runner-up. "I have to go with Nadal to win his fifth straight title. I don't think you're going to see any big surprises. The best-known players are going to come through. If Gael Monfils is healthy he can make a run. I don't think you're going to see a Gustavo Kuerten come out of nowhere as we've seen in the past."

1024: Voskoboeva - wearing what might be called a ra-ra skirt, but I'm no expert - has dropped serve against Kuznetsova, Jankovic is a double-break up against Rybarikova on Lenglen, and French hope Marion Bartoli is 2-2 with Italian Tathiana Garbin on Court Philippe Chatrier.
1019: "Morning piers and chris - just a question: Do you guys feel that was an 'unconvincing' performance by Murray...being journalists following the action yourselves...? I felt he was pretty aggressive throughout; and largely impressive... But I would be interested in your opinions."

1013: There could be some early drama on Court Suzanne Lenglen where Venus Williams and Lucie Safarova will resume in the second match, with the Czech leading 7-6 (7-5). They will follow Jelena Jankovic and Magdalena Rybarikova. After a lengthy warm-up, Kuznetsova and Voskoboeva are ready to go...

Sam Smith on the Red Button
1004: Kuznetsova and Voskoboeva, who are soon to get dramatically shortened nicknames, are out on Court Two. Andy Roddick has been scheduled for the last match on Court Two today, against Ivo Minar. The American said: "Kinda cool.. will be a very intimate setting.. I have never done anything at this tourney to deserve a bigger court!"
0959: First up on the Red Button and website streaming (UK only) is seventh seed Svetlana Kuznetsova against world number 81, Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan. Good news for fans of the Russian title hopeful, less so for text commentators.
0955: Good morning. Recovered from last night's drama? I thought it should have been Lorraine too, but we must press on. It's already day five at Roland Garros but we're still at the second-round stage, with the likes of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Jelena Jankovic and the Williams sisters looking to make progress.
