1241: A near miss from Aiden McGeady. The winger receives the ball on the edge of the box and, with the outside of the right foot, bends the ball just wide of Jamie Langfield's right-hand post.
"Super football from Celtic there. McGeady couldn't quite get his foot round it, but a great effort." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod
1238: "Even the locals are surprised how warm it is here at Pittodrie!" BBC Radio Scotland commentator Scott Davie
1237: Celtic left-back Lee Naylor receives treatment before getting back to his feet.
1235: At the other end, Celtic striker Scott McDonald sends a low left-footed drive wide of Jamie Langfield's goal.
"It's been a good start to the match with both teams trying to get the ball down and pass." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod
1234: "What a chance. The ball over the top and the Celtic defence stood and watched. But he's put it about 10 yards wide. A poor effort." BBC Radio Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod
1233: What a miss by Chris Maguire! A long ball deflects into the striker's path, leaving him clean through on goal and his attempted lob over the goalkeeper drifts wide of the far post.
1232: Aberdeen's Chris Maguire takes an early shot at goal but it's a comfortable take for goalkeeper Artur Boruc.
1229: And we're off at Pittodrie. The sun is shining bright and the pitch looks in immaculate condition.
1227:
"I think Aberdeen will keep it tight at the back." Girvan Loyal on My Sport

We're nearing kick-off time and BBC Scotland pundit Murdo MacLeod
has predicted a 2-1 win for Celtic, with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink scoring the first goal.
Play the predictor
1213: Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Scott McDonald have both netted three times against Jimmy Calderwood's side this season while Gary McDonald, Stuart Duff and Charlie Mulgrew have all been on target against Celtic.
Scott Brown and Zander Diamond have also featured amongst the scorers in this fixture but both miss the match due to suspension and injury respectably.

1208: Aberdeen currently sit outside the Europa League places in the SPL table but are only a point behind fourth-placed Dundee United.
1206: Should Celtic win today, they will be the first away team to do so at Pittodrie since 4 October when Hibs recorded a 2-1 victory.

1155: Good afternoon everyone. This weekend sees the first SPL fixtures after the split - with precious points on offer in both halves of the table.
First up is the lunchtime kick-off between Aberdeen and Celtic at Pittodrie. League leaders Celtic triumphed against Dons in their most recent league match but Jimmy Calderwood's side beat the reigning champions the last time the two sides met in the Granite City.
Later, we have four SPL games kicking off at 1500 BST.
Bottom club Falkirk host Motherwell and the home side will be looking to narrow the gap on Inverness, who visit St Mirren.
Hamilton Accies and Kilmarnock meet at New Douglas Park with both sides looking to edge further away from the relegation spot.
Finally, Dundee United travel to face Hibernian at Easter Road with the Tangerines looking to put pressure on third-place Hearts, who play Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday.
We want your views on the matches as they unfold, so offer your pearls of wisdom here or via text message on80295.
