Miller injury setback for Rangers

Rangers striker Kenny Miller will miss the visit to Hibernian after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury.

The Scotland international played a starring role in last weekend's Old Firm victory, setting up the only goal for team-mate Steven Davis.

That was Miller's first start since the Co-operative Insurance Cup final defeat to Celtic on 15 March.

Miller has scored 12 goals this season, including a double against Hibs at Easter Road in September.

"It's a blow because we were pleased with the way he played on Saturday and I was hoping he would stay injury free until the end of the season when we could get it looked at again," manager Walter Smith told the club website.

"I'm hopeful if he gets a couple of days rest he'll be okay for Saturday."

Andrius Velicka and Kyle Lafferty will be vying to replace Miller up front with top-scorer Kris Boyd.

Rangers go to Hibs needing a victory to leapfrog Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
