Robshaw receives England call-up

Quins flanker Chris Robshaw
Robshaw has had an outstanding campaign for Quins

Harlequins duo Chris Robshaw and Jordan Turner-Hall are among the four debutants named in the England side to play the Barbarians on Saturday.

Blind-side flanker Robshaw and centre Turner-Hall were named Premiership player of the season and young player of the season after superb campaigns.

Uncapped Newcastle prop David Wilson and Bath wing Matt Banahan also start.

Flanker Lewis Moody takes the open-side jersey after a 15-month absence, while Steve Thompson is named on the bench.

Hooker Thompson, who now plays for French side Brive, makes his first appearance in an England 22 since 2006.

Northampton hooker Dylan Hartley makes his first start as does versatile Saints team-mate Ben Foden, who is given the number 14 jersey.

Hartley has won nine caps off the bench, while Foden claimed his first and only cap as a replacement for scrum-half Harry Ellis in this year's Six Nations match against Italy.

Two possible debutants are named on the bench, Gloucester prop Nick Wood and Newcastle back Tom May.

Although the Twickenham contest is a non-cap international, the players will be keen to impress ahead of the two Tests against Argentina.

The matches take place at Old Trafford on 6 June and Salta, Argentina on 13 June.
