Tommy Haas
Haas could face a potentially tricky last eight match against Novak Djokovic

Former world number two Tommy Haas reached Wimbledon's quarter-finals for the first time with a straight-sets victory over Russian Igor Andreev.

The German 24th seed held his nerve in a first-set tie break, before a break of serve in each of the next two sets earned him a 7-6 (10-8) 6-4 6-4 win.

Haas, the oldest player left in the men's draw at 31, showed superb timing off both wings to wear down Andreev.

He now faces either Serbian fourth seed Novak Djokovic or Israel's Dudi Sela.
