Defender Terry has been with Chelsea since he was 14
|
Chelsea have refuted suggestions they have not been in contact with defender John Terry over Manchester City's £30m offer for him last week.
"It is total nonsense - we've spoken to him a number of times. He knows he's not for sale," the club said.
They added he was pleased the club felt that way and that they will hold talks with him when he returns from holiday.
The Blues are also still interested in signing Alexandre Pato, David Villa, Franck Ribery and Wesley Sneijder.
Terry has played 272 games for Chelsea and scored 17 goals in 11 senior years at the club.

Earlier this week, new manager Carlo Ancelotti said the skipper was invaluable to the club.
"John Terry is the symbol of this team, he will be captain," said the Italian.
"He wants to stay at Chelsea forever and we want to keep him forever. There is a question of Manchester City but for Terry there is no price."
Chairman Bruce Buck added: "As a Chelsea fan I'd be devastated if John left but that's not going to happen - John Terry is synonymous with Chelsea and Chelsea is synonymous with him.
"He has been here since he was a wee tot, he is captain of the club and captain of England. He is the backbone of our team and is not leaving."
