The History of English Football

Football rules were written. The English introduced football into France in 1863, forming their first club. The first official international match which is recognised by FIFA was played between Scotland and England on November 30 1872. This competition was played under the Football Association rules. The following year England became the first team in the world to win an international football match when they beat Scotland in London.

The formation of the Football League was introduced in 1888 by Aston Villa director William McGregor. Clubs who supported professionalism were initially twelve founding members. They contained of six from Lancashire ;Blackburn Rovers, Burnley, Bolton Wanderers, Accrington, Everton and Preston North End and six from the Midlands; Derby County, Notts County, Stoke, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers who took part in it.

In1904 it won the FA Cup. Further show superiority of the game came with Liverpool, who won two league awards in 1901 and 1906, and Everton, who won the FA Cup in 1906. For twenty years he did not win any match. Liverpool after winning a title also suffered the same as Arsenal. Manchester reemerged and won the legue title in 1952,1956 and 1957. In 1958 the Munich air disaster killed eight players.

After 26 years Manchester became victorious the premiership league and went on to influenced the English football in 1990. During this year they won five league titles, one league cup and one winners cup.Manchester United's outstanding victory has continued. Arsenal won matches in 2002 and 2004. It did not lose a single league game through out the season. United, still managed to win another FA Cup in 2004 and the League Cup in 2006. United also won the league titles in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2007. Manchester was on the top. Liverpool,Arsenal and Everton contended same way for the European positions.

The English national football team represents England in international football and is controlled by The Football Association; the governing body for football in England.The English national team during this period played in a rough road to their success. They played up to quarter finals.They failed to qualify for the 1994 World Cup but achive the semi-finals in Euro 96 and lost on penalties to Germany at the semi-finals. They also got automatic qualification for the 1998 World Cup, losing to Argentina on penalties in the second round.The dominating was marked with little success, with England failing to qualify for the 2008 European Championships. In 2009 England won some matches.

Major football fixture which English teams Chelsea and Everton competed was in Wembley Stadium on 30th May where Chelsea won in a single goal. The football match program was between Barcelona versus Manchester United was played on 27th May and Manchester United lost to Barcelona by a comfortable 2-0 win.The other important football match programs are Chelsea will be competing Arsenal in the 1st semi-final and Everton will be playing Manchester United in the 2nd semi-finals.
