David Hussey hit a maiden one-day international century as Australia bounced back from their Ashes defeat with a 189-run win over Scotland.
Hussey hit five sixes in his 111 off 83 balls to boost his hopes of playing in Sunday's Twenty20 match with England.
Adam Voges added 72 and Shane Watson 68 as the tourists posted an imposing 345.
Gavin Hamilton and Fraser Watts put on 51 but a mixture of bizarre dismissals and bad luck saw Scotland bowled out for 156 from 39.3 overs in Edinburgh.
Brett Lee returned for Australia after missing the Test series through injury and looked threatening early as he beat the bat regularly.
Mitchell Johnson took the new ball with him, but when they were both withdrawn from the attack after three overs each, the Scots went on the offensive.
Debutant Dirk Nannes, who played for the Netherlands in the World Twenty20, and Watson were the bowlers on the receiving end.
Hamilton showed Watson little respect when he danced down the wicket before cross-batting him over the mid-on boundary in an over that cost 10 runs.
Watts then produced a far more elegant drive for the same result in Nannes' next over to bring up the 50 stand.
But Watts was unluckily out from the next ball when he dragged a widish delivery back on his stumps for 24.
Lee was reinstalled into the attack and grabbed the wicket of Ryan Watson with arguably his worst ball of the afternoon.
He lost control of a slower ball which Watson did not pick up, until it landed on his off-stump.
More good fortune was to follow when Cameron White then juggled a catch, with the aid of his cap, at first slip after Nathan Hauritz found the edge of Qasim Sheikh's bat.
Hamilton, too, would have been disappointed with the way he was eventually dismissed for 38, stroking a full toss from Hussey to mid-wicket where Watson took a diving catch.
If the tourists had been lucky they barely needed it after a domineering batting performance, led by Hussey.
He bludgeoned the Scotland attack and took a particular liking to the off-spin of Majid Haq - whom he dispatched over the mid-off boundary for all five of his sixes.
At one stage the game was held up to find a new ball after Hussey sent a lofted off-drive into the trees outside the ground.
His 114-run stand with Voges (74), from 83 balls, paved the way for Australia's total, their biggest on British soil, after Watson's breezy 68 at the top of the order set the tone.
A late flurry of wickets saw the tourists bowled out from the final ball of the 50 overs, Gordon Goudie bowling Nannes to finish with figures of 5-73.
