Vinokourov finished third in the 2003 Tour de France

Alexander Vinokourov will return to cycling after serving a two-year doping ban by riding in the Tour de l'Ain, which takes place from 9 to 12 August.
The Kazakh rider, who has been eligible to race since 24 July, has entered the event, held in France's Jura region.
He was suspended for two years after being thrown out of the 2007 Tour de France after testing positive for a banned blood transfusion.
Vinokourov, 35, finished third in the 2003 Tour de France, and fifth in 2005.
It is not known whether he will rejoin his former team Astana, which was created by and for him in 2006.

In a press conference before this year's Tour de France, Vinokourov said he did not want to join another team when he resumed his career.
But there are doubts over the future of the Kazakhstan team, with this year's Tour de France winner Alberto Contador yet to decide whether he will stay on.
Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong, who finished third in this year's race, has already confirmed he will be leaving Astana to form a US-based team, Radio Shack, in 2010.
