New Wasps wing Tom Varndell scored his second double in two games before Bath missed an 80th-minute conversion which would have drawn the match.

The Premiership game was level at 10-10 after 30 minutes with Varndell's brace cancelling out Michael Claassens' try and five points from Ryan Davis.

David Lemi's converted try then gave Wasps a 17-10 lead at the break.

Bath finally scored in the last minute but Davis missed the conversion which would have levelled the scores.
