Klasnic has been a regular for Croatia in recent years
|
Bolton are on the verge of signing Croatia striker Ivan Klasnic on a season-long loan from French club Nantes, BBC Sport understands.
The 29-year-old played for St Pauli and Werder Bremen in Germany before joining Nantes, scoring 10 goals in 33 games.
Klasnic, who has netted 11 times in 35 international outings, is unlikely to be joined at Bolton by Diomansy Kamara.
Reports linking the Fulham striker with a loan move to the Reebok Stadium are believed to be wide of the mark.
Kamara joined the Cottagers from West Brom in 2007 but has managed a return of just nine goals in 40 appearances.

Despite three years remaining on his current contract, the 28-year-old has been a bit part player since rupturing his cruciate knee ligament while playing for Senegal against Liberia in June 2008.
Bolton insist they know nothing of a deal for Kamara and that the link is mere speculation.
They do, however, expect to announce the arrival of Klasnic before the summer transfer window closes at 1700 BST.
