Britain's Jenson Button says he will be happy to adopt a cautious approach at the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday, with the world title within grasp.
A podium finish would seal the title for Button but the 29-year-old, who holds a 14-point lead, said he would not take any unnecessary risks.
"It's different for those chasing, they have to be more aggressive," he said.
"I don't want to just finish in the points - but there are situations I don't want to get myself into."
Button's only remaining title rivals are his Brawn GP team-mate Rubens Barrichello who is points behind, while Red Bull's Sebastien Vettel is 16 points adrift.

WORLD TITLE RACE IN A NUTSHELL
Button will win the title in Brazil if...
He finishes third or better
OR Vettel finishes lower than second and Barrichello finishes lower than fourth
OR he outscores Barrichello by four points

With a maximum of 20 points available in the remaining two races of the season, Button believes the pressure is on Barrichello and Vettel to push the boat out at Interlagos and the final race in Abu Dhabi.
"We are all fighting for something that is far greater than we have achieved in the past," said Button.
"It is an exciting situation to be in, but I am the one with the lead.
"I woke up with a smile on my face. I don't think it adds to the pressure, knowing that you could win the world championship; it adds to the excitement.
"I haven't purposely gone out to finish in the points and not win races. We have a few upgrades that should help us here and so I am optimistic that I have the resources to do well here and to score a good result."
Button is determined not to let a disastrous late collapse cost him his chance of joining the greats of the sport as world champion.
"When you have a reasonable lead you have to be a bit cautious," he added.

"Now, it's about keeping it simple. I'm not coming here thinking about how many points I need to get. It's about me staying relaxed."
Button has been at the top of the standings from the very start of the season in Australia, although his form has noticeably slipped in the second half of the season.
He has not won a race since June's Turkish Grand Prix and 1996 champion Damon Hill recently insisted his fellow Briton must "raise his game".
"This is not a one-race series," insisted Button, who won six of the first seven races.
"It is about 17 races and I've kept the lead [so far], so I'm not in such a bad situation.
"It's been a long time since the title hasn't gone down to the wire and it would be better if I won here, but we still have another race in hand."
The first practice session for the Brazilian GP starts at 1400 BST on Friday, with the second session taking place at 1800 BST .
