Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has been ruled out for three weeks with a damaged thigh.

The 24-year-old was injured in Wednesday's 2-1 Carling Cup win against Liverpool - his first match of the season after having knee surgery.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger told the club website: "It is a big disappointment because he has just come back from injury."

Fabianski will now miss Saturday's north London derby against Tottenham.

Wenger must choose between Vito Mannone and Manuel Almunia to replace the Polish keeper, who spoke of his delight at being back in the side after the Liverpool victory.

Fabianksi, who joined Arsenal from Legia Warsaw in 2007, suffered the knee injury during a pre-season friendly against Valencia in August.

Jack Wilshere (ankle), Theo Walcott (knee), Denilson (back) and Tomas Rosicky (knee) have also been ruled out of Saturday's clash at the Emirates.
