Star pair out of Argentina squad

Argentina stars Juan Martin Hernandez and Felipe Contepomi will miss the country's tour of Britain next month.

The duo, as well as injured flanker Juan Manuel Leguizamon, were left out of the squad for their three matches.

Fly-half Hernandez has a back problem while centre Contepomi has not played since damaging knee ligaments playing for Leinster in May.

Argentina play England on 14 November and then Wales and Scotland on successive weekends.

Contepomi's injury means he has not yet made his debut for new club Toulon.

With Contepomi injured, flanker Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe, who captained the Pumas in the June Tests against England, will most likely lead the team again on the tour.

There is experience in the pack, with Fernandez Lobbe of Toulon, Toulouse lock Patricio Albacete, Stade Francais prop Rodrigo Roncero and Clermont hooker Mario Ledesma all in the squad.
