Which is better, finding a good sportsbook promotion code and playing online or gambling in a casino in Vegas? Should I use a sportsbook promotion code to play online in the privacy of my own home or work, or should a take a trip to the glitter and excitement of the city that calls itself Las Vegas? Before we can answer this question, we need to clarify why we enjoy betting on sports. Is it the glitter of Vegas? Is it the chance to win cash? Is it the chance to dress in an Armani suit?

I like it when the waitress gives me free drinks. I feel rich, powerful and important. I also feel like I'm getting drunk for free. Oh wait, I am. Sometimes I like the excitement, the flashing lights of the strip. As far as I'm concerned, this is entertainment at it's best. I pay a few hundred bucks to watch a sports game with my girlfriend. I don't mind paying a few hundred bucks for the same level of entertainment from Vegas. I love the $5 lobster dinners and other events that the casinos put on to get you in their doors. For the well heeled gambler that wants to throw their money around, there's nothing that beats Vegas.
All that glitter costs money. There isn't free glitter-in-a-bottle that casino owners can just spray everywhere. It costs money to pay for the cocktail waitress. The $5 lobster dinners need to be subsidized by the craps table. It costs a rather large fortune to build a casino, and pay for the overhead of staff. Casinos also need to pay rent and the costs of the upkeep of a casino. I've estimated these expenses to be comparable with the GDP of many small African nations. And this money comes out of the size of the jackpots and the odds spreads. When have you ever heard of a land casinos giving out a sportsbook promotion code. Maybe it happens every now and then, but the generosity of online sportsbooks is far superior.
