Fulham manager Roy Hodgson makes one change to the team which beat Blackburn 3-0 in midweek with Zoltan Gera replacing the injured Bobby Zamora. Bolton opt to make three changes after their 2-0 defeat by Rovers last weekend. Gretar Rafn Steinsson, Tamir Cohen and Ivan Klasnic all start as Wanderers go in search of their first Premier League win at Craven Cottage.
Wigan make just one change from the side thrashed 9-1 at Tottenham last week as Maynor Figueroa comes in for Erik Edman at left back. Sunderland centre-back Michael Turner returns from suspension to replace John Mensah, while Darren Bent has recovered from a hamstring problem so keeps his place in the side.
Portsmouth keeper David James is out with a calf injury so new boss Avram Grant brings in Asmir Begovic to start in goal ahead of Jamie Ashdown. Hassan Yebda comes in for midfielder Hayden Mullins, while striker Frederic Piquionne replaces Kanu in the three changes from the defeat by Stoke. Manchester United keeper Tomasz Kuszczak gets the nod ahead of Ben Foster with Edwin van der Sar absent. Striker Dimitar Berbatov is only fit enough for a place on the bench along with fellow forward Michael Owen. Wayne Rooney is set to play up front on his own as Paul Scholes comes in to reinforce the midfield.
Gael Givet and Brett Emerton have recovered from their injuries to feature for Blackburn, while Steve Nzonzi also comes into the side with Jason Roberts, Vincenzo Grella and Lars Jacobsen missing out. For Stoke, there is no place for James Beattie and Rory Delap in the starting line-up, with Liam Lawrence and Manady Sidibe preferred. Abdoulaye Faye is back from suspension but only makes the bench, along with Glenn Whelan.

Gareth Barry misses out entirely, while Craig Bellamy drops to the bench, with Carlos Tevez and Micah Richards recalled to the starting XI. Hull City make just the one change to the side that beat Everton in midweek, the rested Jimmy Bullard starting in place of George Boateng.
