England captain John Terry could miss Saturday's friendly against Brazil in Qatar with an ankle injury.

The Chelsea defender was expected to speak to the media on Friday, but was replaced by Gareth Barry.

Barry is now one of only two fully fit members of Fabio Capello's regular first team in the squad, the other being striker Wayne Rooney.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard flew home on Thursday with a thigh injury, while Glen Johnson withdrew on Tuesday.

Capello was already without Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole, David James, Theo Walcott and Emile Heskey, while squad members David Beckham and Aaron Lennon were also ruled out.

More to follow.
