Cold snap hits Scots card again

Frozen pitch
Aberdeen's last two league games have been called off

The icy weather has almost wiped out the midweek Scottish Premier League card, with Tuesday's Aberdeen v Falkirk game off, plus three more on Wednesday.

Hamilton Accies were due to take on St Mirren, Kilmarnock were to face Celtic and St Johnstone were to host Hibs, but these games have now been postponed.

The SPL say pitches were playable but police were concerned for fans' safety.

Forfar's Tuesday game against Berwick and East Stirling's match with Albion Rovers on Wednesday are also off.

Rangers' match with Dundee United and Motherwell's game at Hearts are the only SPL games to survive so far.

The Scottish Football League saw 13 matches called off on Saturday because of the freezing temperatures and, with the Third Division games at Forfar and East Stirlingshire being cancelled because of frozen pitches, no midweek SFL matches will be played.
